Cory Ferber is a Lead User Experience / User Interface / Interaction Designer & Information Architect and has been a user experience professional since 1996. Cory has a passion for improving people's interactions with information technology. Cory holds a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Information Technology with a New Media Publishing Concentration from the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). He received a formal education in User Interface Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Software/Web Development, Object-Oriented Programming, Database Management, and Visual Communication Design. He also attended The Ohio State University. He has extensive experience in Web Design, Print Design, and Fine Art. Cory has a strong mix of creative, technical, and business-related skills.

Cory worked as Software Design Expert (UX/UI) at Amdocs Product Development Organization (Clarify CRM) in Silicon Valley over a span of 5 years handling complex user experience design challenges. He received 4 awards for Outstanding Dedication and Certificate of Achievement. He worked as a Lead User Experience Designer at marchFirst/SBI in San Francisco from 2000-2001. He worked as a Senior Information Architect at iXL in San Francisco in 2000. He worked as a Senior Information Architect and Lead Site Author (Presentation Layer Architect) at iXL in New York City from 1999-2000, and received an XTRA Effort Award. He worked as a User Interface Designer at Hanover Direct in New York City from 1998-1999.

Cory is a pioneer in the field of information architecture and user experience design. In 1996, he began creating site maps, flow charts, and other information architecture specification documents to communicate the design and planning of the user experience to external clients. That same year, he designed his first large-scale ecommerce site with thousands of unique products, and conducted his first card sorting exercises with clients and potential users.

Cory specializes in the design of large-scale dynamic modular component-based systems. He designed the user experience for the award-winning Amdocs Customer Experience Systems CES/CRM Business Software Suite and Smart Agent Desktop used by the Fortune Global 500 and the world's largest companies to deliver a superior customer experience to millions of people daily. Hundreds of thousands of customer service representatives and sales agents across the globe interact with his designs every day in high-volume call centers, support centers, and sales environments. The mission-critical software is used in over 100 call centers worldwide in the telecommunications industry alone. The software has received numerous awards from Gartner, Customer Interaction Solutions Magazine, and won CRM Magazine "Best Agent-Facing Universal Desktop Software". Cory's designs helped reduced call handling time, reduced call center costs, and saved companies millions of dollars.

Cory is a visual thinker and pattern thinker with exceptional skills in problem-solving, brainstorming, logic, and mathematics. He was identified as Intellectually Gifted as a child, and participated in a three-year Gifted and Talented Program at the age of 11. He designed and programmed a computer bulletin board system (BBS), a predecessor to today's web sites, using an Atari 1200 personal computer and a 300bps modem at the age of 12, in 1983. When he was 9, he received a formal education in BASIC, a simple programming language, using a Tandy TRS-80 computer.
